  • Via Salzburg to Spittal – no vignette, no tolls and plenty of bends:
    From Salzburg, follow the B158 via Bad Gastein and then the B107 to Spittal an der Drau – completely vignette-free. From Spittal, take the B100 towards Villach or into the Drau Valley directly to the Campingsternen Kärnten. 

    Highlight!!! The Hochtor Pass (1,795 m) – the highest point on the route and the border crossing between Salzburg and Carinthia, offering breathtaking views of the Hohe Tauern.

 

  • Via Mittersill and the Felbertauern Road to East Tyrol – vignette-free and traffic-jam-free:

From Mittersill, take the B108 Felbertauern Road towards Matrei in East Tyrol. The route takes you through the Felbertauern Tunnel with spectacular panoramic views of the Hohe Tauern. Once you arrive in Matrei, you’re already in East Tyrol and can continue on to Carinthia.

 

 

 

  • Via Udine, over the Plöcken Pass to the Camping Sterne Carinthia

From Udine, you cycle via Tolmezzo to the Plöcken Pass (1,360 m). The Plöcken Pass offers breathtaking views of the Carnic Alps and marks the border crossing between Italy and Austria.

Tip!!! There’s a large, free car park right at the pass, and it’s well worth stopping off at the Rifugio Passo Monte Croce Carnico restaurant.

 

  • Slovakia, Nickelsdorf – to the Campingsterne Carinthia

From Slovakia, drive via Nickelsdorf on the B9 towards Eisenstadt, then continue via the B50, B16 and B67 to Graz, and then take the B67 to Klagenfurt. The B110 will take you straight to us.

 

  • Hungary, Nickelsdorf to the Campingsterne Carinthia

From Hungary, drive via Nickelsdorf on the B9 towards Eisenstadt, then continue on the B50, B16 and B67 to Graz, and then on the B67 to Klagenfurt. The B110 will take you to the Campingsterne.

 

 

 

  • Via Zurich, South Tyrol and the Lesachtal to the Camping Sterne in Carinthia
    From Zurich, drive via Chur and the Ofen Pass (2,149 m) to South Tyrol. From there, head towards East Tyrol (Lienz) or, via the Kartitscher Sattel, take the panoramic road through the Lesachtal.

 

  • Via Innsbruck and South Tyrol (Bruneck) to Campingsterne Carinthia

From Innsbruck, take the B182 over the Brenner Pass to Bruneck in South Tyrol, then continue towards East Tyrol. Here, you can either drive through the ‘Sun City’ of Lienz or head through the Lesach Valley to Campingsterne Carinthia.

  • Weight limits: campervans under 3.5 t do not require a Go-Box; those over 3.5 t must have a Go-Box
